As much as we all want all the pain and suffering to go away–there’s no magic bullet to make it go away in a flash!
It takes perseverance, commitment, time and patience. And along the way you need to do some detective work, experiment, step back and maybe even start again.
Many times, it’s 1 step forward and 2 steps back effort. But–if you really want to live the life you love living, then you’ll just need to travel that road.
Feeling better and stopping the symptoms takes time because whatever discomfort you’re currently experiencing, took a while for you to notice.
A lot of times, we have nagging, annoying discomforts which we continue to dismiss until they’re really impacting how we live each day.
If it was possible to not arrive at that place of discomfort, I know all of us would do that. But we allow life to keep us from listening to the body’s signals, which are symptoms. When those signals become uncomfortable enough for us to notice, then we go looking for a fix. When, in reality, what we eventually notice, is likely coming from a lot of different signals from the body. What we experience in as a symptom is the result of many different imbalances, depletions, disruptions to the processes and functions in the body.
We just need to stop and assess where we are, what our lifestyle looks like, be willing to make changes, then we begin to take charge of our health. We have a lot of power within us to promote wellness in our body. We just need to begin somewhere.
All bodies need foundations to stay healthy–
- every body needs to be well hydrated, meaning their body is holding onto some of that fluid along with electrolytes so the cells remain hydrated;
- every body needs to be pooping–every single day, no less than one time–not hard pellets, not watery moosh, but firm, well formed, easy to pass poops–every single day;
- every body need to move–every single day–not just move up out of a chair, but go for a walk, stretching, yoga, cycling, etc–movement that’s appropriate for their stage in life;
- every body needs to practice diaphragmatic breathing–full breaths, expanding the chest cavity–exhaling completely;
- every body needs to have uninterrupted, peaceful, resting sleep–every single night;
- every body needs to be eating nutritious foods, not full of chemicals, whole foods, not processed,
- and of course–if you’re making good food choices, whole complete foods, but digestion is impaired by the stomach being too alkaline, H. Pylori is in an overgrown state, and minerals and vitamins aren’t getting into the body, then that’s going to impact everything.
Each one of us has a lot of power over each of the foundations–daily. We keep them in sight to prevent symptoms which can eventually lead to a diagnosable disease.
